New Delhi: In a match in the CSA T20 Challenge in South Africa, Dolphins beat Cape Cobras by 15 runs by the D-L method. The game was played at the SuperSport Park, Centurion, on Sunday and it was a bit of a run-fest. Put into bat, Dolphins made 231 for two in their allotted 20 overs.
Sarel Erwee was majestic as he hammered 103 not out off 58 balls, slamming 10 fours and five sixes. Also playing his part was captain Khaya Zondo who hit 67 not out off 34 balls. For the Cobras, Mthiwekhaya Nabe bagged one for 38 in his quota of four overs.
The run chase was also exciting and the Cobras were 86 for the loss of three wickets in 8.3 overs when bad light stopped play. At that point they required 146 off 69 balls. But eventually only another nine balls could be bowled in the game.
As their innings got over, the Cobras were 108 for three after 10 overs. Top scoring for them was Hashim Amla who made 52 not out off 27 balls. Also chipping was Aviwe Mgijima who made 37 not out off 19 balls. Robbie Frylinck had figures of one for 14.
